Diesel Ignites Eventfinda Stadium with a Blues-Rock Masterclass

If anyone thought Mark Lizotte—better known as Diesel—was slowing down after decades of guitar slinging, they weren’t at Eventfinda Stadium last night. The Australian blues-rock maestro hit the stage like a man possessed, ripping through a set that proved why he remains one of the most electrifying live acts in the business.

Diesel wasted no time locking into a groove with his killer band. The guitar tone? Pure fire. Every lick and solo was drenched in feeling, from the slow-burning tunes to the crowd-pleasing Tip of My Tongue. His voice, still packing that soulful punch, soared above the crunch of his Stratocaster, filling the stadium with raw emotion.

Between songs, Diesel was all charm, trading stories and cracking jokes like he was playing a backyard jam.

At one point, Lizotte addresses the crowd with a candid and humorous remark:

"We've been together for over 20 years, and these guys have seen every bodily fluid come out of me. They've seen me cry, bleed, and sweat—pretty much everything they need to see. Someone out there just said, 'That's too much information!' Well, what can I say? I'm a fucking oversharer. We've been everywhere and done everything, but it’s always a pleasure to jump the ditch and play for you.” The crowd roared in approval, a wall of energy meeting the band head-on as they launched into their next assault.

The last song? An absolute riot. Cry In Shame turned the stadium into a full-blown rock ‘n’ roll revival meeting, Diesel and his band firing on all cylinders. By the time he closed with an extended, face-melting solo, the crowd was left in awe, buzzing from the sonic high.

Decades into his career, Diesel isn’t just surviving—he’s thriving. Last night was proof that some artists don’t fade; they just keep burning brighter.
